MWR 12th and 13th in Nationwide Homestead race by Kellyanne Lynch

Michael Waltrip Racing picked up two top ten finishes in the Ford 300, today's Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Josh Wise finished 12th in the #00 Napa Camry; David Reutimann came home 13th in the #99 Aaron's Dream Machine.
The call to start engines came at 4:40pm ET. Josh rolled off 30th and David 33rd. Joey Logano led the field to the green flag ten minutes later. He and outside polesitter Carl Edwards were side-by-side throughout the first lap, but Logano prevailed to lead the first lap. David picked up 24th and was 22nd one lap later. Josh was 27th. David and Josh each gained a spot on lap 5, but Josh lost it again the next time around the track. Lap 8 saw David pick up 20th and Josh 25th. Meanwhile, Justin Allgaier brushed the wall. David was 19th on lap 9, having passed Jason Keller. Terry Cook and Todd Bodine went to the garage in their #90 and #91 cars.
On lap 10, Josh passed Scott Lagasse Jr for 24th. David was 18th two circuits later, having passed both Rusty Wallace Racing cars. Marcos Ambrose dropped back on lap 16, allowing David to pick up 17th; however, the #99 lost the spot one lap later to David Stremme. Josh was 23rd on lap 19. Kenny Hendrick, Brad Teague, and Kertus Davis were now in the garage.
Jeff Burton took the lead on lap 23. David was 19th as Steve Wallace had passed, and Josh was 23rd. Mike Wallace got around the #99 one lap later; Chase Miller passed the #00. Josh was 25th on lap 26. David was 21st on lap 31; Kelly Bires got around him. Three laps later, Josh was 26th.
Lap 40 saw Carl Edwards take the lead. Six laps later, Kenny Wallace passed the #00, putting Josh in 27th. David picked up 20th from Keller on lap 51. Josh was back up to 26th.
Juan Pablo Montoya started green flag pit stops on the same lap. Others followed suit. Josh pit around lap 57, when David was up to 10th. That's when Edwards made his stop and Brad Keselowski took the lead. David pit on lap 58. Bryan Clausson led lap 59 when Keselowski pit. Kelly Bires led the next lap before making his stop.
Stops cycled on lap 61, and Carl Edwards was back in the lead. Steve Wallace had to return to pit road for a tire penalty on his stop. David was 18th, and Josh was 24th. Edwards had a five second lead.
The yellow flag waved for the first time on lap 65. Michael Annett's #03 rode the wall all the way around the corner. Mike Wallace received the free pass back onto the lead lap. Josh was trapped a lap down in 27th. David was 17th.
Edwards led the lap 70 restart. David was 17th, and Josh was one lap down in 24th. One lap into the run, the #99 moved up to 15th and the #00 23rd. Josh picked up 22nd two laps after that.
Kyle Busch took the lead on lap 76 after battling Edwards for a few laps.
The second caution was on lap 78 for Jeff Burton. He got loose on his own and bounced off the wall both ends. David was 13th at the point of caution; Josh was 22nd and one lap down. David Stremme received the free pass. Drivers pit under yellow, and David came off 2nd with a two tire stop; however, three drivers chose not to pit.
Ryan Newman led the restart on lap 83. David was 5th, and Josh was one lap down in 21st. Three laps later, Kyle Busch moved David back to 6th. Two laps later, Edwards passed the #99.
The third caution was for Annett's #03; he'd spun and had scraped his car along the inside wall.
Newman led the lap 95 restart. David was 7th, and Josh was one lap down in 21st. Two laps later, Jamie McMurray got around the #99, moving David back to 8th. David Ragan got around him one lap later. David was reporting that getting into the turns was "tricky". They made track bar and wedge adjustments already.
Kyle Busch took the lead going into lap 100. One lap later, Clint Bowyer passed David. The #99 was now 10th.
Steve Wallace pushed Scott Lagasse Jr into the wall, bringing out the fourth caution on lap 103. Some drivers pit, including David, while Busch and Ragan stayed on track. Josh received the free pass back onto the lead lap.
Busch led the restart on lap 114. David was 15th, and Josh was 21st.
The yellow flag waved for the fifth time on lap 115 for debris. Kenny Wallace got the free pass.
Racing resumed on lap 119 with Busch leading, David 15th, and Josh 20th. Stremme passed two laps into the run, moving David back to 16th. Dale Earnhardt Jr got around the #99 on lap 123; David was now 17th. Meanwhile, Josh was 19th. Lap 129 saw Mike Wallace and Josh passed David, who was now 19th. Josh was 18th. By lap 133, David was 20th; Mike Bliss had gotten around him. Bliss passed Josh five laps later, moving him back to 19th.
The sixth caution was on lap 146 for "debris" on the backstretch. Steve Wallace received the free pass. Busch was first back on track, and the #00 made contact with the #99 coming off pit road.
Busch led the restart on lap 150. David was 18th, and Josh was 19th. The #99 picked up a spot one lap into the run. David was 16th on lap 152; Josh was 18th but moved up to 17th one circuit later. On lap 154, Josh passed David. The #00 was 15th on lap 155. Lap 157 saw Josh take 13th and David 16th.
David Ragan cut a right front tire, drawing the seventh caution on lap 158. Clausson had also hit the wall. Josh was 11th and David 15th.
Lap 162 saw the restart. Busch led, Josh was 11th, and David was 15th. Josh lost a spot two laps into the run to Bires. On lap 166, he regained the position.
Edwards took the lead on lap 168. One lap later, Bires got back around Josh. The #00 was 12th, and the #99 was 15th. Lap 172 saw Josh pass Ryan Newman to reclaim 11th. Marcos Ambrose got a flat and hit the wall with 20 laps to go, but the race remained under green. On lap 182, David lost a spot to Mike Wallace; he was now 16th. Josh fell to 12th when Newman passed on lap 190. Two laps later, he got back around Newman to retake 11th.
The eighth caution was with 9 laps to go. Justin Allgaier got into the wall.
Edwards led the restart with four laps to go. Josh was 11th, and David was 16th. David picked up 14th within the first lap. With one to go, he gained 13th while Josh fell to 12th. That's where they finished. Edwards won the race, and Bowyer won the championship.
