David 15th in Nationwide Watkins Glen race by Kellyanne Lynch

David Reutimann finished 15th in the Zippo 200, today's Nationwide Series race at Watkins Glen.
Dario Franchitti led the field to the green flag, with David rolling off 35th. The Aaron's Dream Machine was 27th on lap 9, when Stan Barrett pit and got out of the car due to a back injury he sustained in a race at the end of last month. Kenny Hendrick got behind the wheel in his place. Chris Cook was in the garage, and Brandon Whitt left the track that lap. Two laps later, David moved into 26th.
NASCAR brought out the first caution on lap 12 for Wheeler Boys, who cut off Jeff Burton's #29 and spun of Burton's nose. David was 25th at the time. PJ Jones received the free pass. Leaders pit under yellow. Ryan Newman picked up five spots, returning to the track first.
Kyle Busch led the lap 15 restart. David was 24th. Cars went four and five wide, and Brad Coleman got nosed up into the air. Patrick Carpentier, Mike Bliss, and Denny Hamlin picked up quite a bit of damage.
The second caution was for debris from the accident on lap 16. David was marked in 19th.
Racing resumed on lap 18 with David in 17th. Leader Kyle Busch's #92 pit one lap later for his first stop of the race. Jason Leffler picked up the lead on lap 20 as David moved up to 15th. Steve Wallace spun on the same lap and continued. PJ Jones had spun him, one lap after Wallace had spun Jones' #81.
Stan Silva Jr spun, and his #65 nosed the wall. NASCAR brought out the third caution on lap 21. Silva had spun himself out on Bliss' nose. Kenny Hendrick received the free pass back onto the lead lap. Jones and Wallace bumped one another under yellow, and Jones was sent to the rear of the field for the restart. Some drivers chose to make stops. Bobby Hamilton Jr and Antonia Perez were also sent to the rear of the field for the restart, Hamilton Jr for noncompliant fueling and Perez for speeding on pit road.
Jeff Burton led the lap 25 restart with David in 13th. Jimmie Johnson took the lead going into lap 26. Meanwhile, David dropped to 15th. Boris Said passed him the next time around the track. Kyle Busch got around the #99 on lap 31, and one circuit later, Hamlin passed. David fell to 20th on lap 32.
The fourth caution was on lap 41. Marcose Ambrose rear-ended Sam Hornish Jr and spun him, then Antonio Perez ran into Hornish. David was 19th at the time. Many cars stopped under yellow, and Johnson was the first of the bunch back on track. Ten cars, including the #99, did not make stops. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch was sent to the rear on the restart for an uncontrolled tire.
Franchitti led the restart on lap 44; David was 7th. Johnson pit when the field returned to green. The #99 got around Hamlin for position one lap into the run. Hamlin pit on lap 47, and a number of others went to pit road at the end of the lap. Marcos Ambrose moved into the lead on lap 48, and David picked up 3rd. Ambrose's #59 pit the next time around the track, and David moved into the lead.
Just as David took the lead, the yellow flag waved for the fifth time on lap 49; debris had come off Boris Said's #52. David led a small group of cars to pit road. He took on four tires, fuel, and a track bar adjustment. Burton picked up the lead with stops. Kenny Hendrick received the free pass.
Racing resumed on lap 53 with Burton leading and David in 22nd. Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards - first and second in the point standings - ran into each other and spun side by side. Edwards' #60 was smoking heavily, and the car headed to pit road with heavy left front damage. On lap 55, David picked up 20th. Robby Gordon pit two laps later with an overheating issue. The #55 team removed tape and fueled the car before sending Gordon back to the track. Gordon's misfortunes allowed David to move into 19th on lap 58; however, Said got around the #99 one lap later. David regained 19th on lap 60 by passing Jason Keller.
At the front of the field on lap 62, Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton got into each other and spun side-by-side. Busch righted his car first, and his #92 picked up the lead. Stanton Barrett spun on his own with 18 to go but got back going the right way and continued.
On lap 68, Burton moved Busch out of the way and took the lead back. Ambrose ran into Wheeler Boys but kept going with 12 laps remaining in the race. On lap 73, David fell to 20th. With seven laps to go, Dale Earnhardt Jr pit, allowing the #99 to move into 19th. Johnson pit two laps later for fuel. Said was smoking heavily, Burton was running out of gas, and Newman spun on reported oil on the frontstretch.
Lap 79 saw Marcos Ambrose take the lead. Johnson was issued a pass through penalty for speeding on pit road. David was now 17th. With two laps to go, Steve Wallace ran out of fuel. David was up to 15th. The race finished under yellow, Ambrose picked up the win, and David came home 15th.
