Nationwide Qualifying, Live From Loudon by Kellyanne Lynch
28 June 2008
David Reutimann's #99 Aaron's Dream Machine qualified 12th for the Camping World RV Sales 200, this afternoon's Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He ran a 30.126-second lap at 126.429 MPH, which was 0.323 seconds behind first time pole-winner Landon Cassell. Before making his run, David said he was glad to be back at a track with only left turns.
The track temperature was 75 degrees, much cooler than the day before. A crew member noted that the #40 and #64 of Dario Franchitti and David Stremme felt they hadn't worked in their tires enough, so David would have to make sure he did.
David came on track at 10:45am.
"You run a 30.12, brothah," crew chief Jerry Baxter said.
"10-4," David replied. "Too bad you tightened it up, bud."
"All right."
"She was real real treacherous there. It just seems, with a tire like this, it just won't accept any punishment, unless you put some heat in them."
Jerry agreed and said it was like Milwaukee last week.
Coverage of the Camping World RV Sales 200 begins at 2:30pm ET on ABC.
