David 11th in #99 at Charlotte by Kellyanne Lynch

David Reutimann finished 11th in the Carquest Auto Parts 300, tonight's Nationwide Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in his Michael Waltrip Racing #99 Aaron's Dream Machine.
The command to start engines came at 7:38pm ET. The green flag waved nine minutes later with Brian Vickers on the pole and David starting 24th. David Ragan jumped to the high side and took the lead before the stripe, going into lap 2. Meanwhile, David's #99 jumped to 18th.
The yellow flag waved on lap 5, drawing the first caution. Danny Efland spun in Turn 2, and the driver's side of his #0 smacked the outside barrier. His car then slid to the inside wall.
Ragan led the single file restart on lap 8; David was still 18th. Kasey Kahne dropped inside and immediately picked up the lead. Meanwhile, the #99 moved into 17th, having passed Chase Miller's #18. Getting around Carl Edwards on lap 13 put David in 16th. David passed Bryan Clausson two laps later, and he passed David Stremme the next time around the track. Around this time, Ragan reclaimed the top spot.
Lap 27 saw the second caution for Morgan Shepherd's #89. He lost a tire, which scattered debris. Kertis Davis received the free pass, and the leaders pit. David picked up ten spots and came off 4th while Kahne and Ragan struggled on pit road. Derrike Cope stayed on track to lead a lap.
Jason Leffler, who had come first off pit road, led the restart on lap 30. David was 4th but lost a spot to David Stremme one lap into the run. He lost another position to Ragan one circuit later. He dropped to 11th by lap 33, and he continued to fade. He had clipped Clint Bowyer, who jumped to his inside when David dropped down low with a problem. Meanwhile, Kahne went to pit road with problems.
David was 12th on lap 35. One lap later, Sam Hornish Jr took the lead as Stremme pushed Jimmie Johnson and sent him back through the ranks. David was now 14th. He was 15th two laps later. Lap 39 saw David loose another position, this time to Jeff Burton. Brian Vickers passed David on lap 42, moving him back to 17th.
On lap 44, Leffler passed Hornish Jr for the lead. David got around Clausson fourteen laps later for 16th.
The third caution was on lap 61. Hornish Jr got loose under Brad Baker and spun off Turn 2. Kevin Lepage received the free pass, and cars pit under caution. Kenny Wallace stayed out to lead a lap in his #28 US Border Patrol Chevrolet. Ragan led when Wallace pit.
David was 18th when racing resumed on lap 66.
Hornish Jr hit the wall hard, bringing out the fourth caution on lap 68. He went nose-first into the wall after getting loose on his own. Nobody ran into him. Kahne received the free pass.
Racing resumed on lap 71 with Ragan leading and David in 17th. The #99 got around Josh Wise's #22 for 16th three laps into the run.
On lap 76, Kyle Busch took the lead. David picked up another spot the next time around the track.
The yellow flag waved for the fifth time on lap 81 when Robert Richardson Jr spun.
Busch led the restart on lap 86; David was back to 21st. Ragan reclaimed the lead one lap into the run. Busch jumped back outside and was marked in the lead the next time around the track. David was 17th now. On lap 91, the #99 gained two spots. Lap 107 saw David pick up 14th from Chase Miller.
David dropped to 16th on lap 117 and dropped another spot the next time around the track. He was 18th on lap 118. He continued to drop; he was 19th on lap 119 and 20th on lap 120. He moved back up to 19th the next time around the track.
Lap 124 saw the sixth caution for Clauson when he spun off Turn 2. Three leaders had already pit, but the others - including David - made stops under yellow. Kevin Harvick received the free pass.
Vickers led the lap 127 restart with David running 15th. Chase Miller was sparking and smoking, and he slid back through the ranks.
The seventh caution was on lap 129 for Miller, who scattered debris before going to pit road. David was 19th at the time but moved up to 16th under yellow. He lost more spots when he pit.
Racing resumed on lap 134 with Vickers leading and David in 21st. Two laps into the run, the #99 got ahead of Greg Biffle's #16 for position.
On lap 137, Dale Earnhardt Jr took the lead. David was 19th, having passed Bobby Hamilton Jr. Two laps later, Earnhardt Jr's driver Brad Keselowski moved into the top spot. David was 18th; however, he lost the spot on lap 143.
Lap 159 saw the eighth caution for a hard wreck between Kasey Kahne and Kelly Bires. Kahne stuck his nose in a space that wasn't there. Leaders pit under caution. Biffle, Busch, and Wise stayed on track.
Busch led the restart on lap 165. David was 14th. Five laps into the run, he was 13th; however, Leffler got back around him one lap later. He got back around Leffler on lap 173.
The ninth caution was on lap 174 when Steve Wallace pushed Jason Leffler into the wall. David picked up 12th.
Busch led the restart on lap 179 with David in 11th. The yellow flag waved for the tenth time for debris on lap 181.
Racing resumed with 16 laps to go with Busch leading and David in 11th. With 6 to go, Hamlin looked to pass and nearly made contact with Busch. He fell back a little, allowing Keselowski to challenge for position. Meanwhile, with 5 to go, David picked up 10th, having passed David Stremme.
Wise brought out the eleventh caution with three laps to go after he scraped the wall. He lost his right front tire. Under caution, Hamlin cut into Keselowski. Earnhardt Jr bumped Hamlin under caution.
Busch led the green white checkered finish. Hamlin was slow on the restart. David was 10th. He lost a spot to Jimmie Johnson at the point of the white flag. Mike Wallace wrecked on the last lap, causing the race to end under yellow. David finished 11th while Busch picked up the lead.
