David 12th In BGN Phoenix Race by Kellyanne Lynch

David Reutimann's Michael Waltrip Racing entry finished 12th in the Basha's Supermarkets 200, today's Busch Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. The #99 Best Western Camry spent 145 of 200 laps in the top ten.
The call to start engines came at 9:37pm ET. David rolled off the grid 6th with Kyle Busch on the pole.
The green flag came ten minute later, and David lost a spot to Denny Hamlin. The first lap saw the first caution; Shane Huffman got into the grass and got into Aric Almirola's #18. Tony Raines was also collected.
Racing resumed on lap 11 with Busch's #5 still in the lead. Carl Edwards passed David along the inside in Turn 2, dropping the #99 to 8th.
Clint Bowyer took the lead on lap 34. Thirteen laps later, Casey Mears dropped David to 9th. Lap 53 saw Dave Blaney get around the Best Western Camry, and Greg Biffle passed one lap later.
The second caution came out for debris on lap 58. David Gilliland got the free pass, and the leaders made stops when pit road opened. Marcus Ambrose hit Edwards' #60 on pit road, causing left front damage.
Bowyer led the lap 62 restart with David in 11th. Four laps into the run, the Best Western Camry passed Dave Blaney for position.
The yellow flag waved for the third time on lap 70. David Ragan's lapped #6 punted Johnny Sauter's #28 into a spin, causing the #28 to rear-end the wall. Ward Burton received the free pass back onto the lead lap.
Racing resumed on lap 76. Bowyer led, and David was 10th.
Ward Burton got into the apron and ran into Bobby Hamilton Jr, drawing the fourth caution on lap 94. Timothy Peters got the free pass, and cars pit under yellow.
Lap 96 saw the restart. Ryan Newman led after not pitting, and David was 12th. Bowyer dropped inside Newman's #12 and took the top spot on lap 100.
The yellow flag waved for the fifth time for a multi-car accident on lap 102. Kyle Busch moved up in front of Newman. Ragan got hit, and then sped by Newman and slammed into the back of Casey Mears.
Bowyer led the lap 112 restart; the #99 was 10th. On lap 116, Jeff Burton dropped inside and took the lead.
The sixth caution came on lap 137 for Todd Kluever's #16; Regan Smith turned him. Drivers pit under yellow, and Juan Pablo Montoya was off pit road first with fuel only.
Montoya led the lap 141 restart with David in 11th. Bowyer, Kenseth, and Hamlin immediately passed the #42, with Bowyer taking the top spot. Montoya continued to slide back through the pack until Steven Wallace got into him. Wallace hit the wall, and Montoya drove away.
The seventh caution was on lap 144. Racing resumed four laps later. Bowyer led, but Kenseth was all over him. Meanwhile, David was 10th. Casey Mears passed the #99 on lap 152.
Eleven laps after the last one, the eighth caution came out for Kluever. Jon Wood received the free pass.
Lap 159 saw the restart. Bowyer led, and David was 10th.
The ninth caution came on lap 164 when Marcus Ambrose turned Mike Wallace. Cars slowed, and Jon Wood got into the back of and spun David Gilliland.
Racing resumed on lap 169 with Bowyer leading and David in 10th. Kenseth went to the high side and passed Bowyer for the lead for lap 170. Six laps later, Kevin Harvick dropped David to 11th, and Blaney passed him one lap later. Bowyer took the lead just before the yellow flag waved.
Stephen Leicht blew a tire and scattered debris on the track, drawing the tenth caution on lap 188.
Bowyer led the field to the restart with six laps to go. David was 12th. Bowyer went on to win, and Wood and Yeley wrecked at the checkered flag. Yeley's car went around on him, and Wood got into him when the #1 came down the track.
