David Reutimann will start midpack in the Kroger 200, tonight's Busch Series event. He qualified 29th in Michael Waltrip Racing's #99 Aaron's Dream Machine today at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
The #99 was the 2nd of 44 cars to take to the track in time trials. David completed his best lap in 22.730 seconds at 108.649 MPH, which was 0.369 seconds behind pole winner Denny Hamlin.
David ranked in the 30's in both practices. He was 30th in first practice, with a 23.248-second lap at 106.228 MPH. He trailed session leader Aric Almirola by 0.414 seconds.
In second practice, David was 32nd. He turned his best lap in 23.053 seconds at 107.127 MPH, 0.487 seconds behind Clint Bowyer's chart topping time.
