Friday - Mikey in Michigan, Aaron's Dream Machine in Kentucky

Michael Waltrip qualified 28th for the 3M Performance 400, Sunday's Nextel Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. He ran practice and qualifying at the track, while Mark Green and David Reutimann practiced his #99 Aaron's Dream Machine for the Busch Series' Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway. Reutimann will drive the Dream Machine this weekend.
Mikey's #55 Napa Auto Parts Dodge was the 34th of 47 cars on track in time trials. The #55 ranked 18th in practice, turning a 39.710-second lap at 181.314 MPH and trailing session leader Kasey Kahne by 0.532 seconds. Kahne got the pole, and Mikey qualified 28th. He was 0.822 seconds behind Kahne with a 39.606-second lap at 181.791 MPH.
Meanwhile, in Kentucky, fellow Owensboro native Mark Green practiced the #99 Aaron's Dream Machine in the first session, and David Reutimann took it out for the second.
Green ranked 10th in first practice, with a 31.015-second lap at 174.109 MPH that was 0.410 second behind pace setter Paul Menard. Menard also led second practice, and Reutimann's best lap was 0.577 second behind his. Reutimann ranked 25th with a 30.693-second lap at 175.936 MPH.
Reutimann is racing the Aaron's Dream Machine this weekend, and will qualify the car tomorrow. He will be the 31st of 46 drivers to take to the track.
