/noticias.info/ Waltrip Racing kicked off their softball season beating Joe Gibbs Racing 20-7 last night at Walter Safrit Park in Kannapolis, N.C.
“We had a lot of fun last night,” said Scott Stallings, who is Waltrip Racing’s softball team manager. “Last year, we encouraged everyone to play in the Totally Racin’ Softball League and we ended up second in the League Standings in Division B. This year we’ve combined Darrell Waltrip Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing players and we’ve got a really good team.”

The Totally Racin' Softball League was founded in 1998 by Bob Hubner.
“The league has grown bigger and bigger every year,” said Hubner. “It's a lot of fun, I enjoy watching everybody getting along and having a great time doing something together besides working. It gives the guys back at the shops who don't go to the races each week a chance to get out and meet other people from other teams. This league is very competitive there have been some exciting games over the years. If your race team wins a race on Sunday that doesn't mean you will win your softball game on Tuesday night.”
Next Tuesday, Waltrip Racing takes on SPEED Channel beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

Take Exit 25. Proceed East on Route 73 (Sam Furr Rd). Bear RIGHT (South-East) onto Route 73 (Davidson Concord Hwy). Bear LEFT (East) onto Route 73 (Davidson Concord Rd). Continue East on 73 Davidson Hwy. Turn LEFT (North) onto O'Dell School Rd. Continue North on Windy Rd. (Ken Schrader's shop is on this road) Turn RIGHT (South-East) onto Mooresville Rd. (Route 3, old Route 136). Continue on Mooresville Rd. until you arrive at Bethpage Rd. (Bethpage Rd. will be on your right).
From Interstate 85 Exit 52
At I-85 Exit 52 head West on Poplar Tent Road. Turn RIGHT (North) onto O'Dell School Rd. Continue North on Windy Rd. (Ken Schrader's shop is on this road) Turn RIGHT (South-East) onto Mooresville Rd. (Route 3, old Route 136). Continue on Mooresville Rd. until you arrive at Bethpage Rd. (Bethpage Rd. will be on your right).
From Interstate 85 Exit 55
At I-85 Exit 55, turn off on to Ramp. Turn on to Route 73 West (Davidson Hwy). Proceed a short distance to traffic light. Turn RIGHT (North) on to Trinity Church Rd. At traffic light turn left to continue on Trinity Church Rd. After about one mile turn RIGHT (North) on to Boy Scout Camp Road. Turn RIGHT (East) on to Mooresville Rd. (Route 3, old Route 136). Continue on Mooresville Rd. until you arrive at Bethpage Rd.
